Ok, Mel, you asked for more blogs, here you go! After reading this I am sure you will never be requesting any more from me, since I don't really have anything notable happening lately (except for the fact that I went a month without losing any of my baby weight and decided to switch to diet soda, and lo and behold have lost 10 pounds after less than 4 weeks. Oops! Guess pure sugar isn't the way to shed unwanted pounds?? Who knew?) Other than that, nothing much exciting to mention. I guess I can talk about tonight's dinner menu. I really like cooking, especially if I have someone to cook for, but sometimes I get these ultra-domestic streaks and decide to go for something super grandma-ish. (Translation- Anything that requires yeast.) I have such a love/hate relationship with baking with yeast. I love, love, love the products that can be made with yeast (bread, cinnamon rolls, rolls of any type for that matter) but I have such a hard time getting the yeast to rise properly and my stuff often comes out tasting okay, but with a semi hockey puck quality to it. I am hoping since it is summer, the kitchen will be a little warmer thatn it usually is when I bake that kind of stuff (in winter), so I am hoping it will rise better. I have also decided to make some homemade soup. I know this sounds like a lot of cold weather food, and it certainly isn't cold here (unless you count a cool down from 100 to 90 soup weather) but I suppose tonight's menu will be in honor of back-to-school... (the kids here started back today- early, I know!) So wish me luck! I have a good friend who is nice enough to let me share my "bounty" with her tonight, but maybe I should look up the number for Pizza Hut just in case?

You can bring me some dinner!! You always make great stuff. My mom always says, nothing is better than soup on a hot day - not sure why she says that, but she does!
