We are so happy to announce the birth of our beautiful daughter! We had been planning on an unmedicated birth, which was a good thing because she was so excited to join our family that she couldn't even wait until we got to the hospital. Little Rachel was delivered at home on Saturday morning and thankfully the delivery was very fast and uncomplicated- baby was perfectly healthy and safe. After a short ambulance ride and one night in the hospital, we returned home Sunday morning in time to celebrate Father's Day together. Her middle name is Abby, because she entered this world in her home on Abby Way. We feel extremely blessed, and everyone is doing great!

Oh my HECK congrats!!!! That is so exciting for you. Glad everything is okay. Keep in touch.
Congratulations! She is a doll.
I still can't believe how she came into this world. I have my fingers crossed I won't be sharing a similar experience! :o)
We're glad all went well and you're home and having a great Father's Day. You look fantastic and the kids look like they love their little sister.
Oh.My.Goodness!!!! Holy cow, woman, you are amazing! My 3rd was unmedicated and let's just say it's a good thing I was at the hospital and not home because I would have woken my kids up with all the noise! You look great and she is beautiful! Wow! What a story! :) Congratulations!! :)
Seriously can't believe that, CONGRATS!!! She is a little cutie and what a story to remember, glad your mom was there!
No, my mom wasn't there- it was just Marshall and I with the kids asleep in their bedrooms...Marshall was on the phone with 911 and quickly stepped into the other room to get something, so I ended delivering the baby by myself...it happened in just a matter of seconds. I know- it is so unbelievable.
OMG!!! Congrats! She is beautiful and you are SOOOOO brave. What a story and what an amazing entrance she made into this world.
She is so beautiful, Krista! Congratulations!! You're amazing that you can just deliver your own baby like that ;). I'm glad you posted the link to your blog on FB. It was fun to look at what you and your fam are up to. Your kids are so adorable and you look amazing- even at 9 months pregnant!
Congrats again!
Way to go Krista! You are superwoman. Rachel is beautiful.
Krista!! Oh my goodness! I can't believe that happened! You are amazing! She is so beautiful! You can just feel her sweet little spirit through her pictures. I'm so happy for you and wish I could give you a BIG HUG!
Best. birth. story. ever :)
I thought for sure her name would be FLORA! Although my family thinks that TILLEY is a great name. You are amazing! And she is beautiful! I am so glad that she is here! I wan to come down and see her before we go out of town on Friday. Would that be too much? We can wait if you need us to. She is so adorable!
WOW!! You are THE woman!! (which I already knew....but STILL!!)
Congratulations!! She is gorgeous!! And you look amazing! Love the hair....heck I haven't seen you in forever!!
Oh. My. Gosh. I don't even know where to start.
1. I'm ELATED, that sweet Rachel was born on my birthday. I will LOVE that forever. She even has chubby cheeks like me! ;)
2. I'm glad you named her Rachel. You love that name, and everything will work out in family situations. Who knows, she might get a nickname fast and it will be a non-issue.
3. I love that you middle-named her Abby since she was born at home. What a fun thing for her to tell people for the rest of her life.
4. YOU HAD A BABY AT HOME!?!@ Wowza. I would love more details on that. We'll have to talk about in person, or on the phone or something. Craziness. Way craziness.
5. Congratulations! I'm SO happy for you guys. I want to hug and squeeze her soon.
6. Wish you lived closer so I could squeeze her before that!
SO cute!!! Congratulations! What's up with all these unmedicated births? What a Father's Day for Marshall.
Wow, way to go. Nothing like a totally unmedicated and fast birth. I had my last baby at home but it was planned that way! :) I'm glad all went well, so did your hubby deliver? I would love to hear all the details!
