Gone Fishin'

Last week we went down to Cedar City to visit my folks, and I thought it would be fun to take Drew up the canyon to the kids pond, so grandpa could show him how to fish. Here is my dad trying to set up the pole. I can still hear the expletives of frustration as he kept trying to wind the line and it kept popping off the reel...such tender memories. haha :)

Notice there isn't even any line on this pole. Drew still thought it was awesome. "I fished, mommy!"

Since it had rained quite hard the day before, the water was all brown and cloudy, the fish just weren't biting, so we didn't stay long. But it was a beautiful day for a drive, and we had fun hanging out with Nana and Grandpa.

How fun! I used to go fishing with my grandparents when I was really little (probably about 3-5). I loved it at the time but probably haven't been fishing since I was about 5. I'm sure Drew will grow up to be a much better angler than I was.
