Happy Easter !

We had a great Easter this year. It was fairly low-key; we decided to stick around close to home this year. Saturday, I spent all day cooking (nothing I love more, but you should have seen the kitchen when I was done! It looked like a tornado had come through!) then we headed over to Marshall's sisters' house for a fun Easter egg hunt for all the cousins and some neighbors, then we went inside for a yummy dinner. Here are some fun pictures from the weekend:
My beautiful Easter babies, all ready for church.

Allie in her cute little green Easter dress!

These kids were such good sports- of course I made them pose for a million pictures, since I went to the trouble of getting them new church clothes and all. Love these two!

Drew and his two best buds; Thomas and Percy. He didn't want them to be left out of the picture.

My mom recently told me that when she was a little girl, every Easter she would get a little pair of white gloves, some patent leather white mary janes, and a little white hat. Hat and gloves: not going to fly with Allie. The shoes...now those we can do!

Allie loves her little Easter basket!

Ah- my See's Chocolate Butter Easter Egg. When I took my first bite (and this is no lie) it literally gave me goose bumps. It was SO amazing, and SO rich. Best 5 bucks I ever spent. All Drew has is a nasty old blue Peep. (Sick!) But he loves them. Pure Heaven!

Drew and his basket of booty!

Easter egg hunters at Aunt Erica's house.

I am taking full advantage of the fact that baby #2 is a girl. She is my life-sized doll!

Patiently posing for the one millionth picture of the day!

On Saturday Marshall embarked on his journey of getting the new swingset put together. (After many, many sweet little requests from Drew- he is so excited for it to be ready, he can hardly stand it!) It has a LOT of pieces! He was able to get them all laid out, organized, and labeled. (That alone took over 3 hours! Crazy.) He is going to work on it a little each night after work until it is all done. I will keep you posted.

We were blessed with some really nice weather this weekend, which made things really nice. Good food, good family, good friends, and WAY too much candy!

Hope everyone else had a nice holiday, as well! Love ya!

I love your blogs -- they are true to live and fantastic! Adorable pictures, (cute ones of you too), love the one with Marshall being overtaken with wood! But my favorite has got to be your comment about Drew and his Peeps. My kids LOVE them -- and I think they are one of the most disgusting things ever! I laughed out loud when I read your commentary. Pure Heaven -- isn't life grand?

I didn't realize that you had to put those swing sets together PIECE BY PIECE.. ouch. I guess you can't really transport them if they were fully assembled huh? Such a cute dress Allie is wearing... she truly is a doll!

I think Utah stole our sunshine.. it was a brisk 40 degrees on this side of the country.

So fun and super cute pics, love Allie's dress and you are looking like a babe too! Aren't girls fun to dress, I love it! And good luck on that swing set, I am sure it will be great to have, but the set up, ugh, enjoy!

Krista, you seriously look AWESOME! Dang, girl! How do you lose your pregnancy weight (not that you gained, you always looked good, but you are seriously one hot mama.!) :) Your kids are so adorable! What a fun easter! Thanks for all the pics!

Hmm, ok well I wasn't intending for this post to be about me, but since you asked, here you have it: I exercise, stay active, and eat pretty much whatever I want within reason...that's about it! I really did gain way too much weight (65 lbs-yikes!) with both my kids, but I have been able to get rid of it by getting my fanny to the gym 4-5 times a week. I love it! (It's the only thing I really do that is purely for ME.)
