This past Thursday we had the pleasure of seeing some of our old friends from our NYC days-Mark and Melanie Smith and Kyle and Melissa DeMordaunt. (It has only been a week or two since I saw Melissa, but Mark and Mel moved to Minneapolis a year ago and we haven't seen them in quite a while!) We got a babysitter for the three kids and headed out for some interruption-free Cafe Rio! (It was Mark's first time at Cafe Rio, crazy-I know! He gave it the thumbs-up, not surprisingly.) We had a good time and some good laughs together! Mel is totally cute pregnant and it was really fun catching up, and especially going through my old maternity clothes and busting a gut! Can't remember the last time I laughed so hard I cried. Oh good times...but being the photo slacker that I am, I totally forgot to bring the camera to dinner, (sorry DeMordaunts!) but as the Smiths were leaving Friday morning, I realized I had not taken a single picture their entire visit so I snapped these really quick as they were heading out the door. These guys will make great parents- they are both so good with kids. What an exciting time in life- to be expecting your first baby. It is such a great ride. We are so excited for them! Even though the time we spent living in NYC wasn't the easiest or most convenient time of my life, it was certainly one of the most memorable, and produced some awesome lasting friendships. That alone made it totally worth it. Nice to see all you guys!

Thanks for posting the fabulous picture!! We had so much fun visiting - and mark has been enjoying the bag of cookies you sent along with him (I think there is actually one or two left)! Hopefully we can all get together next time we are out - keep some free time on your calendars around Christmas!
So fun, sad we couldn't be there, would love to see you all! And what were we always missing in NYC, a cafe rio...seriously NYC friends at cafe, can't be any better right. Well, glad you guys had a great time!
